• Profile Data (Nurses): Nursing qualifications, RN license number, specialties, work experience, education, location preferences, and profile photo.
• Profile Data (Employers): Facility name, address, type of facility, contact person details, and billing information.
• Application Data: Job applications submitted, saved jobs, and messages between nurses and facilities.
• Verification Documents: RN license scans, educational certificates, and identity documents uploaded for profile verification.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device type, browser, operating system, and IP address.
• Pages viewed, time spent, and interactions on the platform.
• Search queries and filters applied.
• Session data and cookies (see Section 4).

2How We Use Your Data

3Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Employers: When you apply to a job, your profile and application are shared with the posting facility. You control which jobs you apply to.
• Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics) under strict data processing agreements.
• Verification Partners: We share select credential data with our licensed verification partners solely for background and license checks.
• Legal Requirements: We will disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with prior notice.

4Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our service. By using nursehired, you consent to our use of cookies as described below.

You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time.

5Data Retention

• Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active.
• Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion, profile data is removed within 30 days. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.
• Application Records: Application history may be retained for up to 2 years for compliance and dispute resolution purposes.
• Verification Documents: License scans are deleted within 7 days of verification unless you request otherwise.

6Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws and international best practices, you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information in your profile at any time.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
• Portability: Receive your profile data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or account settings.
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent, without affecting prior processing.

7Children's Privacy

nursehired is strictly intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately delete the account and associated data.

8Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords.
• Sensitive documents are stored in encrypted, access-controlled cloud storage.
• We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@nursehired.in.

9Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., hospital websites, nursing boards). nursehired is not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• Send a notification email to all registered users.
• Display a prominent banner on the platform for 30 days.

Continued use of nursehired after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
